Wine Racks Warranties

Wood Racking Warranty

Includes Traditional, Double deep, Stackable & Commercial wood rack kits as well as traditional style custom racks.

Wine Cellar Specialists warrants its wine racks to be free from defects due to workmanship or material under normal use and service, for as long as the original owner lives in the residence. If the product is defective due to workmanship or materials, Wine Cellar Specialists will, at its option, repair or replace the product free of charge. This warranty covers Wine Cellar Specialists line of wood racking kits and custom wood racking and does not include cooling units, metal racks or other products produced by other vendors.

Wood Color Disclaimer

The wood samples shown on our website are a generalized rendering of the specific wood species. Due to photo pixel density, monitor color and light settings, we cannot guarantee that your final product will be an exact match to the colors represented on this site. If you would like to see an actual wood sample, please contact us today and we’ll send one to you.

Shipping Policy

All packages should be opened and inspected upon delivery. If you believe a package received from us was damaged in transit, please call Wine Cellar Specialists at (972) 454-0480 to inform us of the situation. Please report any missing parts as soon as possible and we will send replacement parts out immediately.

Return Policy

At Wine Cellar Specialists, we pride ourselves on providing the best customer experience by offering quality products and services. We’re sure you’ll be completely satisfied. But, if for some reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we would like the opportunity to work with you to resolve your issues and ensure that your experience with Wine Cellar Specialists is a positive one. In the event that you still wish to return your product, please read the Wine Cellar Specialists Return Policy:

  1. Original shipping & handling, delivery, and similar fees (including related sales taxes) are considered services already consumed and are therefore not refundable.
  2. You are responsible for properly packaging products to be returned and for delivering the products back to the factory. You are responsible for any damage to your product during return shipment.
  3. You will be charged a 25% restocking fee to return products.

Custom Orders Policy

Custom wine storage units, custom racking and all doors are built to order and require additional delivery time. As a result of the custom nature of the product, neither individual components nor completed product can be placed back into inventory and used for another customer. Custom wine cellars, cabinets, doors, and cooling units are not returnable for any reason.

Custom wine cellars are manufactured per customer to their own specific requirements. Therefore, all custom wine cabinets, custom racking, doors and refrigeration products require full payment at the time of order and are not returnable for any reason. Any personalized items, custom orders and shipping charges are non-refundable. Should there be a 2nd or final deposit due (excluding all installation totals), the outstanding balance will be due 21 business days prior to the scheduled ship date. If the Purchaser would like to cancel the cellar before it is shipped; the Purchaser will be refunded the deposit amount less a design fee and less the cost of any material that has been manufactured /cut. In the event that the amount of material that has been cut exceeds the deposit on hand, The Purchaser agrees to pay Wine Cellar Specialists the remainder due to cover the costs of said material. The Purchaser will have the option to have the finished material shipped to the address of their choice at their expense or simply request Wine Cellar Specialists to discard material at no additional charge to The Purchaser.

Reclaimed Wine Barrel Wine Racks

The manufacturer will guarantee the reclaimed wine barrel wine racks to be free from defects in workmanship for the life of the product. This guarantee will be to the original purchaser under normal use in its originally installed location. If the product is defective due to workmanship, the manufacturer will, at its option, repair or replace the product free of charge. This warranty covers only the reclaimed wine barrel wine racks and does not cover products from other vendors, products subjected to conditions outside their design limitations or Acts of God.

Kessick Modular Wine Racks

Kessick, LLC warrants to the original purchaser under normal use for a lifetime
that its products will be free from defects in materials and/or workmanship
subject to the exceptions, disclaimers, limitations, and other terms and conditions
contained in this warranty. This warranty does not cover the installation of the
product or the removal or re-installation of the product.
Kessick, LLC may elect either to repair or replace any defective product covered
by our warranty. Repairs made by anyone other than Kessick, LLC are not covered
under this warranty. Our warranty does not cover details caused by misuse,
abuse, improper installation or storage.
This warranty is in lieu of any and all other warranties expressed or implied and
excludes any incidental or consequential damages. No person, firm or corporation
is authorized to assume for us any other liability in connection with the sale of
these goods.
All claims and other communications under this warranty must be made in writing
to your dealer/distributor. The dealer/distributor will then forward the
information in writing to Kessick, LLC for action on the claim. Warranty claims
must include a complete description of the defect.
Kessick, LLC reserves the right to deny any warranty claim.

Metal Vintage View Wine Racking

Vintage View warrants to the original consumer-purchaser that this product shall be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal and reasonable use for the lifetime of the product.

VV will, at its option, refinish or replace any product or part found to be defective during the warranty period and excludes installation charges, shipping charges, and cost of removal and reinstallation. VV may require you to return the part(s) claimed to be defective, for its inspection – freight or postage prepaid.

This warranty does not include the cost of any inconvenience or property damage due to the failure of the product and does not cover damage due to misuse, abuse, accident, or damage arising out of transportation of this product. THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS, LIABILITIES OR WARRANTIES. In no event shall VV be liable or responsible for INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES or for any other direct or indirect damage, loss, cost, expense or fee. Neither the WMC distributor nor the retail establishment selling this product has any authority to make any warranties or to promise remedies in addition to or inconsistent with those stated above. VV’s maximum liability, in any event, shall not exceed the purchase price of the product paid by the original consumer-purchaser. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. In such a case, the above limitations or exclusions may not be applicable.

Cooling Unit Warranties

Whisperkool Warranty

A limited 2-year parts and labor / 5-year compressor warranty is offered with all Whisperkool cooling units/systems at their date of purchase. All warranty claims must be filed directly through WhisperKool™ customer service (1.800.343.9463 ext. 799). We provide warranty repairs at our manufacturing facility in Stockton, CA or, with prior permission from WhisperKool™, by a licensed HVAC/R technician. In the event a unit is not reparable in the field, and is still under warranty, we will cover shipping costs (excluding customs fees and duties).

The limited warranty applies only to wine cooling units purchased from the factory or an authorized dealer. Damage caused by others or beyond the control of WhisperKool™, shall not be considered defects in material or workmanship and is not covered by the warranty. The limited warranty does not cover any parts or labor to correct any defect caused by negligence, commercial use, accident, maintenance, installation, service/repair, or improper use.

CellarCool Warranty

A limited 2-year parts and labor / 5-year compressor warranty is offered with all of our cooling units/systems at their date of purchase. All warranty claims must be filed directly through CellarCool customer service (1.855.235.5271). We provide warranty repairs at our manufacturing facility in Stockton, CA or, with prior permission from CellarCool, by a licensed HVAC/R technician. In the event a unit is not reparable in the field, and is still under warranty, we will cover shipping costs (excluding customs fees and duties). The limited warranty applies only to wine cooling units purchased from the factory or an authorized dealer. Damage caused by others or beyond the control of CellarCool, shall not be considered defects in material or workmanship and is not covered by the warranty. The limited warranty does not cover any parts or labor to correct any defect caused by negligence, commercial use, accident, maintenance, installation, service/repair, or improper use.

Cellar Pro Warranties

1800 QTL / QT / XT / XTS: For five years from the date of purchase, your CellarPro warranty covers all parts and labor to repair or replace any components in the wine cooling unit that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship.

1800 XT-220V: For two years from the date of purchase, your CellarPro warranty covers all parts and labor to repair or replace any components in the wine cooling unit that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship.

1800 XTSX, 3200 VSi/VSx, 4200 VSi/VSx: For five years from the date of purchase, your CellarPro warranty covers the internal compressor if it proves to be defective in materials or workmanship. In addition, for two years from the date of purchase, your CellarPro warranty covers all parts and labor to repair or replace any components the wine cooling unit that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship.

4200VSi / VSx – 220V/50Hz: For one year from the date of purchase, your CellarPro warranty covers all parts and labor to repair or replace any components the wine cooling unit that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship.

For all products covered by the terms of this warranty, CellarPro will repair or replace the original cooling unit with a new or refurbished cooling unit and, once replaced, the original cooling unit must be returned to CellarPro.

All service provided by CellarPro under the above warranty must be performed by CellarPro or a designated repair facility unless otherwise specified by CellarPro. Purchaser is responsible for shipping the wine cooling unit to and from CellarPro or to and from a designated repair facility, and for removing and reinstalling the wine cooling unit from the wine cellar.

The limited warranty applies only to wine cooling units purchased from the factory or an authorized dealer. Damage caused by others or by any cause beyond the control of CellarPro, shall not be considered defects in material or workmanship and are not covered by the warranty. The limited warranty does not cover any parts or labor to correct any defect caused by negligence, commercial use, accident, or improper use, maintenance, installation, service or repair.

THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED ABOVE FOR EACH WARRANTY ARE THE ONLY ONES, WHICH CELLARPRO WILL PROVIDE, EITHER UNDER THESE WARRANTIES OR UNDER ANY WARRANTY ARISING BY OPERATION OF LAW. CELLARPRO WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE BREACH OF THESE WARRANTIES OR ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other legal rights, which vary from state to state.

US Cellar Systems Warranty

US Cellar Systems warrants that the goods will be free of defects in materials and workmanship as follows: All cooling unit parts are covered for a period of one (1) year from date of sale. Purchaser’s exclusive remedy is limited, at US Cellar’s option, to repair or replace defective parts with either new or factory reconditioned parts. Unless otherwise provided by applicable law. Purchaser is responsible for shipping the unit to repair facility designated by US Cellar Systems. US Cellar Systems will pay return shipping at regular ground rates for units repaired under warranty. At the sole discretion and approval of the seller local replacement parts may be sourced. Repairs or replacement parts not authorized in advance by US Cellar Systems may void the terms and conditions contained in this warranty agreement. US Cellar Systems is not responsible for labor to diagnose potential issues, remove possibly parts or to reinstall repaired/replacement parts. US Cellar Systems is not responsible for costs of supplies, labor or materials related to initial installation or subsequent maintenance or repairs. Warranty does not cover damage due to such things as accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, acts of god, fires earthquakes, floods, high winds, government, war, riot or labor trouble, strikes, lockouts, delay of carrier, unauthorized repair, or any other cause beyond the control of US Cellar Systems, weather similar or dissimilar of the foregoing examples. Purchaser understands and acknowledges that the goods sold are for wine cellars and or similar units that house wine or cigars. Purchaser assumes all risk of using these units, including risk of spoilage, humidity variations, leaks, fire water damage mold, mildew, dryness and similar perils that might occur. UNLESS OTHERWISE PROVIDED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SELLER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, AND THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF; THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND OF THE FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED. SOME STATES DO NOT FOLLOW THE EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR A WAIVER OF THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF FITNESS AND OR MERCHANTABILITY. SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

Flooring Warranties

Reclaimed Wine Barrel Flooring Warranty

Reclaimed wine barrel flooring is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship for the life of the product. This guarantee will be to the original purchaser in its originally installed location.

Cork Flooring Warranties

Lifetime Limited Residential Wear Warranty

The finish of the floor plank is warranted by USFloors, Inc. not to wear through under normal use for the life of the product. Finish wear-through is defined as 100% finish removal over a minimum of 3% of the total installation. (Gloss reduction or surface scratches are not considered surface wear.) Dull finish can be corrected with spot or overall recoating care systems.

This lifetime limited residential wear warranty is made subject to the following conditions:

1. The floor must be installed properly and according to USFloors’ installation instructions. Proper installation includes, but is not limited to the following:

a. A moisture test must be performed to determine if excessive moisture exists in the subfloor.

b. When installing over concrete, a calcium chloride moisture test must be performed. Readings greater than 5 lbs./1000 sq. ft./24 hours are unacceptable for installation. If a moisture meter is used, a reading greater than 4.5% is unacceptable.

c. A polyethylene film vapor barrier must not be used over wood subfloors. Moisture

readings of wood subfloors must not exceed 14% thoughout the entire installation.

d. If glue is used, glue entire floor with glue that meets or exceeds PVAC dispersion with a viscosity of 8000 +/- 1000 cpc spindle 6/20 at 20 degrees centigrade – density of 1.11 =/- 0.02 g/cm on a dry content of 48 =/- 1% (weight). Upon completion of glued installation, the floor must be allowed to set overnight for 12 hours before resuming normal usage of the room.

2. The flooring must be used only indoors in a dry, climate controlled area.

3. The flooring must be maintained in accordance with USFloors maintenance instructions.

4. This limited warranty does not apply to water damage of any kind.

5. This limited warranty does not apply to damage caused by water or moisture in the subfloor or underneath the flooring, including but not limited to damage from subfloor hydrostatic pressure (water or moisture under the floor that is transmitted to the surface through exerted pressure) or other conditions that result in water or moisture being under the floor.

6. This limited warranty does not apply to USFloors moldings and trims.

7. Installation of flooring that contains any manufacturing defect is not covered by this limited warranty.

Lifetime Limited Structure Warranty

The floor plank is warranted to be free from manufacturing or material defects for the life of the product. Should a defect occur, USFloors will arrange a credit based on the original purchase of the product. This warranty is not transferable by the purchaser of the floor.

Should a defect occur, we will arrange a refund based on the original purchase of the product. This warranty is not transferable by the purchaser of the floor. Should a problem attributable as a manufacturing defect develop after flooring is installed, the cost of labor for repair will be covered by this warranty.

Warranty Coverage: Upon determination of a valid manufacturing defect, credit will be issued to the dealer and will be good toward the purchase of a replacement. When defective product is installed, credit applies to material only and does not include labor since it is the responsibility of the installer to determine suitability of material prior to installation.

Should a problem attributable as a manufacturing defect develops after flooring is installed, the cost of labor for repair will be covered by this warranty.

Limited Residential Wear Warranty does not cover:

1. Problems due to moisture, mildew, alkaline substances, hydrostatic pressure, expansion and contraction between planks, or humidity levels above or below those recommended.

2. Abuse or misuse. This warranty does not cover damage caused by neglect, abnormal use or misuse, application of solvents, corrosives or other chemicals to the flooring, color change, excessive pivot and point-loads, stiletto shoes, heavy furniture or equipment, unpadded furniture feet, water, pet claws, pet urine, damage from sand, pebbles or other abrasives, damage due to adhesives or tape or other unintended uses. Loss of finish gloss over time is consistent with normal wear & tear and is not a product flaw.

3. It is normal and expected for there to be color variations due to use of natural components,

exposure to UV light and/or sunlight, and age of material. Therefore, color inconsistency between samples, replacement product or illustrations and actual product is not a manufacturing flaw. Area rugs and large furniture will block light exposure and cause uneven coloration. To minimize this, furnishings and floor coverings should be moved periodically.

4. USFloors makes no guarantee that the material purchased will match or coordinate with customer furnishings, trim, cabinetry, railings, etc.

5. Inherent variations that are consistent with those of a natural bamboo product to include pattern, color, and grain do not indicate defective material.

6. Noncompliance with installation instructions and maintenance instructions as recommended by USFloors. USFloors cannot assume responsibility for the suitability of flooring material and accompanying products for each individual installation as USFloors has no control over the installer’s proper application.

7. Floor covering installed in inappropriate locations is excluded from this warranty.

8. Water damages due to flooding, broken pipes, wet mopping and spillages are not covered by this warranty.

How to Make a Claim

Any claim made under either of these limited warranties must be made by contacting your retailer within 30 days after the basis of the claim is detected. In addition, any claim under either of these limited warranties must be made before the end of the applicable limited warranty period. Proof of purchase including the date of purchase, must be presented to make a claim.

5 Year Light/Medium Commercial

Limited Wear Warranty

The finish of the floor plank is warranted by USFloors, Inc. not to wear through under normal light and medium commercial use for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase. Finish wear-through is defined as 100% finish removal over a minimum of 3% of the total installation. (Gloss reduction or surface scratches are not considered surface wear.) Dull finish can be corrected with spot or overall recoating care systems. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser and only if used in the following commercial areas:

  • Retail: Novelty Shops/Boutiques, Product Display Areas, Sales Floors, Showrooms, Hair Salons
  • Medical Offices: Waiting Rooms, Patient Rooms, Examination Rooms, Storage Rooms
  • Hotels: Guest Rooms, Conference/Meeting Rooms
  • Offices and Restaurants: Offices, Conference/Meeting Rooms, Showrooms, Restaurant Floor, Break Rooms
  • Institutional and Light Industrial: Classrooms, Training Rooms, Meeting Rooms, Commons Areas, Residence Halls

This 5 year limited light/medium commercial wear warranty is made subject to the following conditions:

1. The floor must be installed properly and according to USFloors’ installation instructions. Proper installation includes, but is not limited to the following:

a. A moisture test must be performed to determine if excessive moisture exists in the subfloor.

b. When installing over concrete, concrete should be tested for moisture prior to installation using the Andydrous Calcium Chloride test method, a non-invasive moisture meter, or a pin/probe meter. When using a Calcium Chloride Test, the result must not exceed 3 lbs per 1000 sq. ft. in a 24 hour period.

c. A polyethylene film vapor barrier must not be used over wood subfloors. Moisture readings of wood subfloors must not exceed 11% thoughout the entire installation.

d. If glue is used, glue entire floor with glue that meets or exceeds PVAC dispersion with a viscosity of 8000 +/- 1000 cpc spindle 6/20 at 20 degrees centigrade – density of 1.11 =/- 0.02 g/cm on a dry content of 48 =/- 1% (weight). Upon completion of glued installation, the floor must be allowed to set overnight for 24 hours before resuming normal usage of the room.

2. The flooring must be used only indoors in a dry, climate controlled area.

3. The flooring must be maintained in accordance with USFloors maintenance instructions.

4. This limited warranty does not apply to water damage of any kind.

Should a problem attributable as a manufacturing defect develops after flooring is installed, the cost of labor for repair will be covered by this warranty.

The Limited Wear Warranty does not cover:

1. Damage due to adhesives or tape, scratches, gouges, scuffs, punctures, cuts, indentations, burns, accidents, lack of proper furniture rests or any intentional misuse of the product. Loss of finish gloss over time is consistent with normal wear & tear and is not a product flaw.

2. Problems due to moisture, mildew, alkaline substances, hydrostatic pressure, expansion and contraction between planks/tiles, or humidity levels above or below those recommended.

3. It is normal and expected for there to be color variations due to use of natural components, exposure to UV light and/or sunlight, and age of material. Therefore, color inconsistency between samples, replacement product or illustrations and actual product is not a manufacturing flaw.

4. Manufacturer makes no guarantee that Natural Cork products will match or coordinate with customer furnishings, trim, cabinetry, railings, etc.

5. Inherent variations that are consistent with those of a Natural Cork product to include pattern, color, and granule size do not indicate defective material.

6. Noncompliance with installation instructions and maintenance guidelines as recommended by Natural Cork. Manufacturer cannot assume responsibility for the suitability of flooring material and accompanying products for each individual installation as manufacturer has no control over the installer’s proper application. Should an individual piece be doubtful as to appearance or dimension the installer should not use this piece. Failure to apply protective coating in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines may result in irreparable damage to the cork. Such damage is not covered.

7. Cracking, warping, soiling, fading, improper maintenance or abuse caused by items such as roller skates, golf shoes or pets.

8. Floor covering installed in inappropriate locations is excluded from this warranty.

9. Exposure to UV light and sunlight will cause discoloration to natural wood products. This is normal and is not a manufacturing flaw. Area rugs and large furniture will block light exposure and cause uneven coloration. To minimize this, furnishings and floor coverings should be moved periodically.

How to Make a Claim

Any claim made under either of these limited warranties must be made by contacting your retailer within 30 days after the basis of the claim is detected. In addition, any claim under either of these limited warranties must be made before the end

The Commercial Warranty is limited to 5 yrs. We suggest an additional top coating of water-based poly for commercial installations such as Bona Traffic Waterborne Wood Floor Finish Commercial Semi Gloss.

LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY
Kessick LLC. (‘‘the manufacturer’’) warrants the original consumer purchaser for as long as they own their home that their Kessick LLC® products will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use. This warranty is only applicable to products used in residential applications within the United States and is not transferable to subsequent owners. Should defects in material or workmanship exist during the applicable warranty period in any Kessick LLC product, the manufacturer will elect at its discretion to either repair or replace the defective material or component, free of charge. This warranty covers only parts and materials of the products supplied by the manufacturer. Not covered under this warranty are counter tops, aftermarket accessories, etc. or the costs, including labor, to remove and reinstall materials and related components.

This warranty shall become void if the wine rack components are in any way modified, improperly installed or damaged prior to or during the installation. Furthermore, this warranty will not apply to components damaged by misuse, neglect, abuse, acts of God, exposure to extreme temperatures or the effects of normal wear and tear.

Natural woods may vary in color, characteristics and exhibit subtle changes as they age. Sunlight, smoke, household and commercial hospitality cleaners and other environmental conditions may also affect the color match over time. These variations are considered to be the nature of the material in relation to their environmental exposure and are not covered under this warranty.

The manufacturer reserves the right to alter design, specifications and material without obligation to make similar changes to products previously manufactured.

The repair(s) or replacement(s) are contingent upon the current product offerings of styles and construction options within the Kessick LLC product line at the time of the warranty claim. If a warranty claim is filed after a Kessick LLC product becomes obsolete, the manufacturer reserves the right to honor the warranty in one of the following fashions: 1. To replace the affected component with a new component of the same style. 2. To replace the affected component and any other component(s) in the residential/hospitality application to achieve a uniform appearance with a similar and comparable product style of the originally purchased style.

If components are replaced, the manufacturer cannot guarantee that the finish of these replacements will exactly match the finish and appearance of the components in the residential/hospitality application. This is due to the changes that occur during the woods’ natural aging process, affecting its color and grain. THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY OF KESSICK LLC.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

To obtain replacement(s) under this limited warranty, please contact the store from which the merchandise was purchased, who will arrange for inspection of the Component(s). Limited Warranty

Dovecreek is extremely proud of the quality and craftsmanship in each one of our hand crafted entry and interior doors as our warranty is one of the best in the industry.

Door/Jamb Limited Warranty

All exterior & interior doors manufactured by Dovecreek (Except those expressly excluded from this warranty by the manufacturer) are guaranteed by the manufacturer for (2) two years from date of shipment t be of good material and workmanship and to be free from defects at the time of shipment that would render them unserviceable or unfit for ordinary purposes for which each door is recommended. The warranty is transferable and non-prorated and only applies to the construction of the door not the finish.

One Year Limited Warranty on Dovecreek Wood Products Factory Prefinish: We warrant the factory prefinish and our Dovecreek Custom Wood Doors for one year. Should the factory prefinish be proven defective, we will at our option refinish the door or pay up to $250.00 for an interior door and up to $350.00 for an exterior door to the current owner.

Dovecreek will as its option, either (1) repair any door without charge, or (2) replace any door without charge in the same stage of fitting and/or finishing as the manufacturer originally supplied, if he door is found not to comply with this warranty. In the case of a defect reasonably discoverable by inspection of each upon receipt of shipment, written notice must be given within thirty (30) days thereafter and before the door is hung or treated in any manner. Any claims after such 30-day thereafter and before the warranty shall not apply to doors repaired or replaced without ovecreek’s prior written approval.

Certain ornamental details not affecting the structural soundness of the door that would be considered defects in standard applications of the material are use intentionally and add uniqueness and character. It is important to understand that natural properties and characteristics such as size and occurrence of knots, differences in the color, texture and grain pattern of wood are subjective determinations not covered under warranty.

Except as otherwise expressly provided herein, Dovecreek shall not pay for the cost of labor, installation or finishing of the replacement or original door or for any other cost relating to the replacement of the door. All of which shall be the sole responsibility of the person making the warranty claim. Other conditions the warranty does not extend to, includes:

1.- Unsatisfactory service or appearance caused by failure to follow the Installation and Finish Maintenance Instructions set forth herein is not covered by this warranty.
2.- The appearance of field-finished doors is not covered in any event.
3.- Natural variations in the color or textured of the wood, including sap pockets and mineral streak are not considered to be defects.
4.- Warp of less than ¼” in any 3/6 x 7/0 section of the door. Warp is any distortion in the door itself, and does not refer to the relation of the door to the frame or jamb in which it is hung. The term warp shall include bow, cup and twist. In measuring the amount of warp a customer should place a straight edge, taut wire or string on the suspected concave face of the door at an angle (i.e. horizontally, vertically or diagonally) with the door in its installed position. The management of bow or string and face of the door. If the claimed defect is warp, Dovecreek may defer repairing or replacing the door for a period of up to twelve (12) months from the date of claim. The deferral will not be counted against the warranty period.

Note: This warranty excludes all doors over 4/0 wide or 9/0 in height, 1-3/4” thick doors over 3/6 in
width and 8/0 in height and all doors over 2-1/4” thick. 5.- Doors not hung plum and level or secured properly on the job by the door installer.

6.- Damage caused by others or by any cause beyond the control of Dovecreek, including but not limited to damage caused by misuse, abuse, accident, improper framing, mishandling or by fire, flood, earthquake, storm or other natural acts.
7.- Knot placement, quality , or size found on door.
8.- Damage caused by failure to comply with the handling, job finish and installation instructions provided by Dovecreek to include but not limited to damage caused by failure to seal all six (6) sides of the door within fourteen (14) days of delivery. Primer is not a sealer.
9.- Failure to perform normal homeowner’s maintenance, including maintaining the finish (factory or non-factory finish)
10.- Panel movement (shrinkage) of ¼” or less. Temperature and humidity may cause the wood panels I your doors to shrink, leaving and unstained line along the panel edge unless factory finished. The panels in your door have been designated to “float”.
11.- Damage caused by temperature buildup where a storm doors utilized. Storm doors must be vented to eliminate temperature buildup.
12.- Slight expansion or contraction due to varying environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity.
13.- Separation of joint that does not exceed 1/16”.
14.- Doors with an overhang of less than 8/0.
15.- Doors shipped out of the continental United States are not warranted.

ACCESSORY LIMITED WARRANTY

1.- The insulated glass is warranted for seal failure for a period of three (1) year. The Warranty does not cover glass breakage, glass color, bent glass, decorative/art type glass, distortion, minor glass imperfections that do not affect the normal vision or product performance and the imperfection shall not be detectable at a distance greater than 10 feet. Any other failures or operating difficulties due to accident, abuse, misuse, misapplication, exposure to elements when the glass has not been installed by Dovecreek, improper or insufficient handling, storage, installation, maintenance or service. Handle with clean gloves, and do not drag doors across one another or across other surfaces.
2.- Store flat on a level surface in a dry, well ventilated building. Door slabs must not be leaned on walls at an angle. Cover to keep clean, but allow air circulation.
3.- The utility or structural strength of the door must not be impaired in the fitting of the door, the
application of hardware, or cutting and altering the door for lights, louvers, panels or any other special details.
4.- The discoloration or rust of decorative metal accent options, (Grills, Clavos, Straps, etc)

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1.- Doors should not be subjected to: abnormal heats, extreme dryness, humid conditions or sudden changes herein. They should be conditioned to average prevailing relative humidity of the locality before hanging; they should not be left in an open garage during home and construction.
2.- When hanging a door, allow adequate clearance for swelling of door or frame in extremely damp
weather. All glazed doors should be hung with the removable wooden glass beads facing the interior side of the opening.
3.- Avoid cutting doors down in width. Use designated sizes. If width is necessary, do not trim over ¼” per side. Use a sharp, fine tooth saw for trimming the ends. Top and bottom rail may be trimmed no more than 1/2”. (Must be sealed immediately after trimming).
4.- The utility or structural strength of the door must not be impaired in the fitting of the door, the
application of the hardware, or cutting and altering the door for lights, louvers, panels or any other
special details. Use three hinges on doors 7/0 in height or less, use four hinges on doors over 7/0 in height. Hinges must be set in a straight line to prevent distortion. Be sure that jambs and stops are set perfectly square and plumb.

FACTORY UNFINISHED DOORS

1.- Deliver door(s) to building site after plaster or cement is dry. If doors are stored at job site for more than three days all edges must be sealed. Primer is not a sealer.
2.- Immediately after hanging and not to exceed 72 hours on the job, the entire door including the top and bottom edges must receive two coats of a good grade of oil based mixed paint, varnish or lacquer. Adequate drying time must be allowed between coats. Some species of wood contain a chemical (oak particularly), which reacts unfavorably with certain finishes. Where possible, the surface should be tested for such unfavorable reactions. Application of sealer before finishing will usually prevent this difficulty. Do not use a water-thinned paint unless an oil base prime coat is first applied. Exterior finishes shall be used on the exterior face and all edges of exterior doors.
3.- Before finishing, a thorough hand sanding using 180g and 220g sandpaper is required at the job site to remove handling marks, oil residue from fingerprints, surface blemishes and other slight imperfections. Clean before applying sealer or finish.

FINISH MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

1.- All finished doors require regular maintenance to keep the finish looking as new as possible. Interior doors must be dusted regularly with a damp, not wet cloth to remove dust and other particles. Most exterior door finished deteriorates rapidly; therefore, clear oil must be applied to the door as needed.

There are no warranties that extend beyond the warranties described on the face hereof, and the manufacturer’s sole responsibility under this warranty is as stated herein. Dovecreek shall not be liable for consequential, indirect or incidental damages, nor for nay amount in excess of the manufacturer’s price for the door involved, whether the claim is for breach of warranty or negligence.

This warranty sets forth Dovecreek maximum liability for its product. Dovecreek makes no other warranty, expressed or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose with respect to its products except as it is set forth above. No distributor dealer or representative has the authority to change or modify this limited warranty. In no instance shall Dovecreek be responsible for indirect, consequential or incidental damages. This warranty
shall be governed by California law.

Iron Doors

Product Warranty Form

Elegante Iron Inc. warrants its product to be free from defects in material and workmanship that would render it unserviceable for the purpose intended for 3 years from the time the unit is installed. Elegante Iron will repair or replace defective products or parts as needed if it falls within the manufacturer’s warranty.

Faux Finish

As part of our commitment to produce the highest-quality coatings in the industry, Elegante Iron Inc. is proud to offer a 3 year warranty on the finish. In time it may rub off in places due to the frequency of use. Elegante Iron Inc. does not consider this to be a defect, rather a normal process which can not be avoided and over time enhances the naturally aging appearance of the metal. This applies to residential or commercial applications. Any warranty request must be reported before the 3 year mark from the time the unit is installed. If the unit is painted or serviced from another vendor or company the warranty will be voided.

Glass

Our insulating glass units are guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, for a period of 1 year. The glass will be replaced at no cost if silicone residue is left inside glass panels or visible interior scratches appear. WHAT IS NOT COVERED: Damages not reported within 7-10 business days from the time the unit is installed. If a warranty call is placed after 7-10 business days a fee will apply.

Hardware

Upon return of the defective product to manufacturer, Emtek’s sole obligation, at its option, is to either repair or replace the product depending on outcome once pictures are submitted (this will take affect after 3 service attempts from Elegante Iron) If the hardware is painted or serviced from another vendor or company the warranty will be voided.

Elegante Iron, Inc. components are hand crafted. Some designs may indicate that slight variations occur to preserve the strength and character of the design. We deserve the right to minor design adjustments to preserve the character and strength of the design.

Elegante Iron Inc. assumes responsibility for the proper installation of the units and will remove or re-install the units if necessary.

Our delivery time is guaranteed 8-10 weeks. If the unit is delivered to jobsite any time after the 11th week from the time the deposit is received the client is entitled to deduct an additional 5% from the remaining balance.

All Elegante Iron, Inc. products are custom made. In the event of a cancellation of an order 35% restocking fee will be deducted.

Damages caused by accident, misuse, abuse or improper care during construction or afterwards are not covered by this warranty.
